NETWORK TOPOLOGIES:

THE PHYSICAL LAYOUT OR ARRANGEMENT OF CONNECTED DEVICES IN A NETWORK  IS CALLED NETWORK TOPOLOGIES . DIFFERENT TYPES OF TOPOLOGIES ARE AS FOLLOW.

1) BUS TOPOLOGY

2) STAR TOPOLOGY
3) RING TOPOLOGY
4) MESH TOPOLOGY      

1)BUS TOPOLGY   :

                                                        IN BUS TOPOLOGY A COMPUTERS ARE CONNECTED TO COMMON COMMUNICATION MEDIUM CALLED CENTRAL WIRE KNOWN AS BUS. THE TERMINATORS ARE USED AT THE END OF BUS TO ABSORB SIGNALS .

WORKING OF BUS:

                                                                THE SENDER COMPUTER SEND THE DATA TO THE DESTINATION ADDRESS THROUGH BUS .THE DATA AND ADDRES MOVE FROM ONE COMPUTER TO OTHERS IN A NETWORK.EACH COMPUTER CHECK ADDRESS IF IT MATCHES WITH THE COMPUTER ADDRESS .THE COMPUTER KEEPS THE DATA .OTHERWISE THE DATA MOVES  TO NEXT COMPUTER.

                  3)  LESS  EXPENSIVE

                    4) IF ONE NODE FAILS IT DOESN’T EFFECT THE WHOLE NETWORK

DISADVANTAGES:

1)   IT  ONLY SUPPORT  SMALL NETWORKS.
